A technical catalog impossible to maintain by hand

Construction materials company with 80,000 active SKUs in Business Central. Each product carries an average of 47 technical attributes: dimensions, weights, materials, certifications, standards, equivalence tables with other manufacturers and linked PDF documentation. Business Central was the source of truth, but the PrestaShop store lived in a parallel world.

Two people spent their entire shift keeping the online catalog up to date. The process was manual: export from BC, transform in Excel, adapt to PrestaShop's import format, upload. With 80,000 SKUs, the full cycle took weeks. By the time they finished there were already hundreds of new changes in BC. Technical descriptions didn't match, PDFs were unlinked, equivalence tables were stale. Professional customers — who depend on precise technical data to make purchase decisions — stopped trusting the site and went back to the physical catalog or the sales rep's phone.

Integrafy Data Hub as the central catalog

Integrafy Core connected Business Central with PrestaShop via BC's OData v4 API for reads and PrestaShop's Webservice for writes. The connection detects incremental changes: only SKUs modified since the last sync are processed.

Integrafy Data Hub was configured as the central catalog. The 47 technical attributes of each SKU map automatically to PrestaShop's features and combinations. Equivalence tables are generated as product attributes. Certifications and standards are linked as structured metadata.

Technical PDFs (product sheets, certificates, manuals) are linked automatically by SKU from a central storage. When a PDF is updated in BC, the link on PrestaShop updates without intervention. The full 80,000-SKU catalog syncs in under an hour. Spot changes reflect in minutes.
